Workshops and Facilitation

Workshops and Facilitations 

All of the workshops and facilitations we offer are co produced by people with lived experience and fit the recovery model of mental health. Much of our outreach occurs in schools and community organization settings and are completely free of cost.

 

Below are some examples of the types of workshops we offer and have run through Discovery College West. Get in touch if you'd like to see a workshop hosted near you. 

Understanding Anxiety 

This workshop explores the complexities of anxiety. It reviews some effects anxiety, healthy and unhealthy responses to anxiety, and facilitates the creation of an anxiety tool kit to help manage the effects of anxiety. 

Socail Media and Mental Health 

This workshop explores the impact on social media on metal health. It opens discussion about the negatives and positives and offers some tools to ensure healthy use of social media and how to promote general wellbeing in our ever changing world. 

Managing Low Mood 

This workshop explores low mood, what it looks like for different people and why low mood occurs. It offers tools for understanding yourself and how to care for yourself or others when low mood occurs. 

Resilience 

This workshop explores the theme of resilience. We will look at different forms of resilience and how to find ways to be resilient despite the challenges we might face.  

Mental Health and Family 

This workshop explores the impacts of mental health challenges on family members and within family dynamics. It looks at skills and tips on how to support family members experiencing mental health challenges and offers space to speak to the complexities of mental health difficulties within families. 

Building Healthy Relationships 

This workshop explores the characteristics of healthy relationships, how we form them and how to maintain those healthy relationships. It gives space to discuss what relationships may look like for certain people and how to identify unhealthy traits.
