The Importance of Mental Health Recovery Research
Efficacy and Effectiveness
Using research in our engagement and education strategies ensures that our intervention models and service methods are both effective in controlled settings and in settings where circumstances are outside of our control. Mental heath recovery is highly personal and building support and empowerment through education comes with adaptability. We seek to offer the most relevant and helpful service for young people giving access to the services they deserve.
Ongoing Evaluation and Improvement
Using and creating research relevant to mental health recovery and education engagement programming for young people is important as it provides a basis for ongoing evaluation. We strive to use research based tools to constantly meet the changing needs of those we provide services and education to.
Evidence Based Practice
Evidence based practice ensures our work is truly meeting the goals of our service and is grounded in the amazing research on mental health recovery that has been accumulated over the years. While lived experience is an essential part of recovery education, rooting our intervention models in research directs our work and focuses our engagement to provide positive outcomes. Evidence based practices and materials work hand and hand with the shared lived experiences of our service users.
Tool for Expansion
Having verified research about mental health recovery and education for young people is a helpful tool for recognition and expansion. Recovery education is for everyone, and our vision is to see a world where everyone is supported with their mental heath journey. Research and evidence based materials helps prove to our funders that the work we do is both effective and important.
